Consultant will provide support on the UNIX/Windows applications and participate in the planning, analysis, documentation of processes and functionality for operational projects.

The Middleware Specialist will complete the following activities;

  • Required to resolve and troubleshoot complex Siebel and Oracle E-business technical problems which arise during the design, development, use and operation of Oracle Siebel applications and middleware packages, including providing senior-level technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.
  • Siebel Support and Troubleshooting
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of Oracle Siebel applications
  • Analyzing and solving data integrity,  security, configuration and recovery issues Pro-active systems usage      and capacity monitoring
  • Assessing and testing Request for Change (RFC)’s with Windows content and updating as necessary
  • Participation in release (RFC) promotions/implementations
  • Application, middleware and middleware incident resolution management.
  • Review monthly ITS report cards for system issues and advise on courses of action to resolve them.
  • Management, monitoring and configuration of Siebel application, websites.
  • Management of SSL and PKI certificates
  • Protocols: SNA, DLSw, TCP/IP, SSL, DLC, SMTP, SFTP

Oracle BIP/OPA and Troubleshooting:

  •  BIP/OPA installation/implementation, development and database administration capacities using Oracle BIP/OPA  applications covering R12, 11i versions and 11g/10g/9i databases.
  • Implementing Instance/Application performance tuning, storage/capacity management, DB migration/upgrade, Backup/Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Defining and Developing an Oracle Siebel Systems Support Guide for internal Staff members for Cross training

Mandatory Requirements of Middleware Specialists

  • Expert Knowledge and Experience working in Siebel environments
  • Expert Knowledge and Experience working in Oracle BIP/OPA environments
  • Knowledge and Experience working in AIX 6, Solaris v10 server environments
  • Knowledge and Experience working in Windows 2008 server environments
  • Siebel Certified Consultant, MCSE or equivalent experience;
  • Familiarity with the Siebel Development Process, including the migration process with ADM (Application Development Manager) and Siebel Remote;
  • Detailed knowledge of the Siebel Architecture including component configuration, State Models, Workflows, Run Time Events, BI Publisher, correspondence;
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB architecture and basic SQL knowledge;
  • Understanding of Security including Active Directory/LDAP, SSL, Siebel Security model of Responsibilities and Positions, firewalls and network configuration;
  • Experience with HA including clustering and load balancing;
  • Understanding of Siebel integration including EAI, xml, and SOAP messages.
  •  Demonstrated ability in co-ordinating and providing leadership to staff and stakeholders
  • Experience with distributed and n-tier networked systems
  • Understanding of security practices and configuration and experience analysing and solving data integrity,      security and recovery issues;
  • Strong problem solving, reasoning and trouble-shooting experience to provide advice and resolve data recovery issues in a multi-platform environment;
  • Experience conducting system monitoring and performance and data integrity in accordance with ITIL standards.
  • Knowledge and experience with systems analysis and development, testing and implementation
